The UTSC Library is open to partnerships for collections development, research, initiatives, and events that promote Tamil Digital Scholarship. We would also be happy to feature work on these pages that grow the digital tamil studies community, but that are happening outside of the library and institution. 	Tamil Digital Pedagogy Funded by the Critical Digital Humanities Initiative and led by Dr. Bhavani Raman, this initiative produced open, tamil-language training materials introducing the Digital Humanities, and providing training on the open-source mapping platform QGIS. The instructor and designer is Shanmugapriya, a post-doctoral fellow with the Department of Historical and Cultural Studies and materials.
	Open Tamil Metadata Dictionary The Tamil Metadata dictionary will aim to make publicly available a manual and series of controlled vocabularies for cataloguing in Tamil. This document makes provisions for managing MODS based metadata that must align with MARC21 and RAD formats for complementary systems.
	Tamil Open Data Catalogue The Open Tamil Data Catalogue consists of openly licensed datasets useful for Tamil computing and research purposes, including Textual Analysis, Natural Language Processing and Machine Learning. These datasets were created by community contributors and academic institutions worldwide, and released under various open licenses. The majority of these datasets can be downloaded from the web; however, some may require contacting the creators. If you would like to add an entry, please send it to digital-tamil-studies@googlegroups.com.
	Sophia Hilton Storytelling Fellowship at the UTSC Library This storytelling Fellowship provides University of Toronto students the opportunity to be immersed in the art and practice of storytelling, inspired by the distinctive collections and communities of UTSC, particularly the Tamil Hub and The Legend of Ponnivala (alternately: The Land of the Golden River). Additional details are available on the library website.
	Tamil Common Voice Passionate about Tamil? Contribute your voice! Read and validate Tamil sentences to contribute to the development of open Tamil voice technologies. Tamil Common Voice is undertaking the work to develop and release datasets that anyone can use. Currently, there is less than 25 hours of validated hours of voice data for Tamil. We need a minimum 300 validated hours of voice data. Let's make our small contribution towards to reach this goal.
	Digital Tamil Studies discussion forum The Digital Tamil Studies discussion forum is intended to be an open, public forum for sharing and discussing topics related to digital Tamil studies, scholarship, libraries, archives and related fields. It is moderated by the Digital Tamil Studies project team, based at the University of Toronto Scarborough Library. This team is composed of colleagues at UTSC and partners in the Tamil community. The forum is intended to foster a community of practice across institutional boundaries. All are welcome!
	Digital Tamil Studies on GitHub The Digital Tamil Studies project maintains a Github repository of code, scripts, and texts that may be useful to those studying Digital Tamil Studies.
	Tamil Wikidata Contributions Wikidata is a” free and open knowledge base that can be read and edited by both humans and machines.” As part of the UTSC Library’s work with the PCC Wikidata Pilot we have made contributions to enrich the presence of Tamil terms and resources in Wikidata.
